The design is inspired by a TV show I watched a while ago. Although it was really hard to figure out what exactly they used for the hanging pieces and structure, I decided it should be easy to mimic, so here it goes:-)
First, finding the containers. And where to find them? Amazon, of course:-) (the way to break your bank account)… There are many kinds of glass containers, mostly are for the air plants and succulents.
So I tweaked the search term couple of times, there goes a list of the glass containers that looked interesting. This particular set caught my eyes: there are three different shapes in a set and has pretty decent reviews.
I designed a 9-feet stretch of the hanging layout. In order to create a decent density, each container would be 1-foot apart…
Second, finding the hooks. Same as the containers, there are a lot of choices. I picked the stainless ones here in order to coordinate with my entire house style.
Now, onto the plants. Based on the research, most of the house plants can be planted in water. So I go for small house plants, like English IV, and Herbs.
It was a fun and experimenting project, so far it looks awesome. I will try different plants to see which ones looks and grows better in my floating water garden:-)
Enjoy!
