I was sick for almost a week, that stopped me from working out for almost 7 days…
It was hard! I mean, the intensive interval workout between cardio and strength… I exercised as hard as I could. And I made it to the end!
Here is the result: my brain started to declutter, my spirit started to go up and my mood was improving. All the meanwhile, I feel my heart is strong!
People know me from the beginning, they know I was not an active person, I was not round or anything, I came from a culture/time that exercise was not a thing. Only athletes exercised…
After my mid 40, I started to exercise, with this sweet, strong, beautiful and inspiring lady as my trainer. I have been working out with her since then!
The workout is now a THING for me as it brings up my energies, my self-confidence, and physical health to a whole new level. I love exercising, missing one day of workout is almost like missing a good fun! It is a highlight of my daily life.
Back to the question, boy or mind, which leads the way?
Based on my personal experience, I would say, physical lead the way! Only when your body is active, and strong, that your brain would function correctly. The blood circulation will bring the nutrition the brain needs and then when the mind is clear, everything will be easy to solve!
Especially when you are aging, parts of your body start to hurt, the joints, the muscles… Don’t discuss with your brain about that before you go get moving, just DO IT! (don’t overdo it though_) By the time you finish whatever you are doing, it will be happy you did not in instinct without discussing with it (hehe)
Let’s get moving and keep the heart pumping hard… Will share more about what type of exercises are safe and easy for us the 50+ but fabulous people!
